Biography
JJ Stonebraker is a beatsmith hailing from Austin, TX. A self-taught student in the lost disciplines of “Wave Mangling and Clip Ripp’n”, JJ is currently growing his brand of auditory chronic under the production alias “Tonebreaker”. No stranger to the scene, he has been DJing around Texas for over a decade but it was 2010 that truly marked itself as a landmark year. After taking a break from music production, JJ chose to phoenix at the annual regional burn event, “Burning Flipside”. Following this, he went on to release two more mixes for the UK Radio Station, KICK106 as well as releasing remixes of The Glitch Mob’s ‘Drive It Like You Stole It’, Mercan Dede’s ‘Tutsak’ and Trifonic ‘Lies’. 2011 also marked the birth of Libations & Oscillations, a collaborative musical effort between JJ and long time friend, Joseph Noctum. With 2012 upon us, Tonebreaker has already started crafting his next iteration of sound surgery both in his solo works and with L&O.
